Andrea Bargnani is an Italian professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born on October 26, 1985 in Rome, Italy, he was the first overall pick by the Toronto Raptors during the 2006 NBA Draft. He plays power forward/center at 213 cm (7ft) and 113 kg (250 lbs).
Andrea played for seven seasons with the Raptors despite having an elbow injury in the remainder of the 2012-13 season. On July 10, 2013, he was traded to the New York Knicks for Steve Novak, Marcus Camby and Quentin Richardson, along with a future first round draft pick and two future second round draft picks.
